Fale design stage 2

 We have worked on the final stages of our Fale designs, working out how to add our rooves and get the natural materials to stay in place.  With trial and error, and the constant running out of hot glue sticks and a few burnt fingers, here are our "finished" models.

 We have been looking at floor plans and construction materials for Fales.   After researching and drawing drafts of what they could look like, we foraged the gardens for materials to make them with. Here is our first stage of construction.

Swapna Haddow - author talk

 Swapna Haddow visited us this last week to present her book My Dad's a Grizzly Bear.  She also talked about how telling little white lies got her on the path of becoming a writer. If you're wanting to know more about her, check out this Dunedin Public Library link  . As part of her talk, she showed us how to draw her Grizzly Bear character face.  We followed her instructions and this is how ours looked.
