" It's coming together nicely"

Image
With quite a bit more time in class, and no interuptions like a Covid lockdown or public holiday, we have started see some of our hard work coming together. Working on a collaborative art piece over quite a few afternoons, meant that we were able to piece all our coloured parts together.  It may never look like Van Gogh's Starry Night original, but it is very definitely uniquely our own, just like the many characters who uniquely make up our class crew.

Fairytale writing

Good teachers never retire, they come and teach writing when the class teachers are on a course. Mrs D'Souza has been casting her spell on Room 17 as they write their own version of The Gingerbread Man. The kids have loved having her back, and we are under instructions that when we can't be there, Mrs D'Souza is their reliever of choice.

Fabulous First Week

Welcome to Room 17's blog.  We have had a fantastic first week back at school: learning about each other, talking about our New Windsor Way values, beginning to create colourful artwork for our room and working on our resilience.           We played non-stop tag and talked about how we need to show resilience when we play games together. Talking about the 3 Cs and 3 Rs (Confident, Collaborative, Creative, Responsible, Respectful and Resilience) we also brainstormed how we already show and use them in class and around the school. We are also really enjoying the sun that pours into our classroom and the air conditioner that keeps us cool on these hot days.  Ms Harland also told us we have her favourite room in the school, as we have the best view.
