Designing a Diwali Rangoli

Joshua used his ideas of geometric shape, rotational symmetry and transformation to create a Rangoli for his family.  He planned it out first using a dot template, similar to the video we viewed in Maths. He then carefully enlarged it using coloured chalk. Great work Joshua - totally using your maths knowledge in a real life context.

Doesn't it look great?

    1. Hi Ibrahim, I would just like to clarify that adding colour to their sketched plans was optional. The criteria Joshua was working to was how to design a plan and then recreate an enlarged design using colour, symmetry and rotation. He has definitely met my brief don't you think?
