We've been given a challenge to write a summer poem, that uses only 3 of our senses, based on a picture of a boy mowing a lawn. Stage 1 was to draw and then brainstorm some ideas for the sounds and smells we would have on a summer's day while lawns are being mown in the neighbourhood. Today's stage was to read the mentor's piece of writing, and look at the set out and language used. Using highlighters we located nouns, verbs and adjectives; talking about how they were used and what they do in a piece of writing. Our next stage is to write our own, and share with each other so that we can make it come alive for our readers.
Wow Room 17! What awesome aerodynamic experiments you have done at home. When I was at school, I really loved doing Science experiments. I wonder if you can create an additional investigation around the use of aerodynamics and share it with the class next week?
ReplyDeleteKia ora Room 17. What an awesome way to share your ideas. I love how you can write text, add a photo or add a video. I think the best bit is how you can then view each others' work. Keep up the mahi and stay safe!
